Dadoes are cut on this custom jig to accept the Incra Plus multi-channel with integral ruler. The base is of bubinga and the sled of purpleheart. |

Turning cam-lock knob |
|
A knob is turned from black walnut to accept the locking cam shaft. |

Fitting half-blind dovetails |
|
1/2-blind dovetails are machine-cut to construct the sled and base ends. |

Base/sled subassembly |
|
The base and sled are dry-fitted for alignment. |

Knob installation |
|
The cam-lock knob and tensioning knob are installed. The turned black walnut knob is intalled with a 1" tenon and pinned with countersunk brass screws from underneath. |

Finishing |
|
A flood-coat of neutral danish oil is followed by three wet-sanded coats of Walnut danish oil. A finish coat of Renaissance wax will follow. |

Customization |
|
Customization is performed with a Dagger III electrocautery device. |

|
The piece is reassembled and adjusted for scale. |
